I may get hate mail for this, but let me explain myself. This comic is based on the news coverage I saw tonight, which showed some of the old Al Quaida training videos, as well as footage of the crowds celebrating outside the White House. Guess which I found more intimidating. If you think the correct way to respond to killing is to kill right back, that’s your decision and I won’t judge. However, when you do finally get your revenge, I believe the reaction should be a solemn recognition of the fact that you’re endorsing the killing of other human beings, and you have to reflect on everything that means. A frenzy of patriotism and celebration after killing someone, even someone who orchestrated so much destruction, just seems… bloodthirsty.
More people in lab coats, possibly because of my own lab coat envy. I own one, and never get occasion to wear it. The modern, non-confrontational approach to medicine puts all the med students in Australia running about the hospital in shirts and ties.
Well, what can I say? I could confound you with explanations and excuses for my absence, but really, you don’t want any of that, what you want is comics. Well, I’ll do my best. I’m back at uni which is an incredible time suck, but I want to get back to having a regular update schedule. For now though, I’m officially declaring an update schedule of “Once per week at an undisclosed and highly variable day and time”.
That should do.
Please don’t try to explain all the ways in which this argument is flawed. It’s been a long and painfully hot day.
Also, Merry Christmas! May your days be filled with ham. Unless you’re a vegetarian or Jewish or just don’t like ham, but it’s the thought that counts. I think. And that’s what counts.
Although my pay is pretty average for the work I do, I at least get bonuses in the form of comic ideas, energy drinks and ham.
Also, if you only saw Thursday’s comic when it was black and white, it’s been reuploaded in glorious technicolour!
